How Is Body Balance Determined?
Body Imbalance can be determined a number of ways:

The anatometer is an instrument used to measure spinal biomechanics which help the doctor determine the state of body balance. By using the anatometer we can provide:
- Precise measurements of postural changes
- Provide timely and effective patient examinations
- Reduce the dependency on repeated x-rays, saving you time and money
As a modern chiropractic office, we are committed to using the highest quality research and clinical grade chiropractic instrumentation available for the sole purpose of detecting and correcting of interference to your nervous system. The tools we use for this purpose are SEMG and Thermography.
SEMG (Surface Electromyography)
SEMG stands for surface electromyography. An EMG reveals information about the electrical activity of the muscles around the spine and help us measure the effects of body imbalance. It is similar in function to an EKG which measures heart muscle activity. It is totally non-invasive does not cause pain or irritation. Muscles have a tendency to brace in response to spinal misalignments caused from body imbalance. These misalignments create nerve interferences which effect muscles, blood vessels and internal organs. The SEMG can help verify the severity of your condition and help track your progress once body balance has been restored with the NUCCA spinal correction.
Thermography
All subluxations are misalignments, but all misalignments are not subluxations. One of the characteristics of vertebral subluxations is that they cause interference with the normal flow of nerve impulses and this effects the sympathetic nerve system. Nerve interference and body imbalance can create an imbalance in blood flow which cause differences in temperature. Thermography is the best way to see this difference, while being completely non-invasive to the body.
Visualizing the temperature patterns on
the body therefore gives us an indirect
assessment of the physiology of the patient.
The Tytron C-3000 is a device that scans differences in skin temperature. It is the fastest and most effective device available to date. With one pass of the scanner, you see segmental temperature graphs and a computer generated color "heat" image (thermogram). The doctor correlates your thermography readings with other exam findings to determine your treatment needs.
