What an Upright MRI Reveals About Migraines

Migraine, Headache, Natural Relief, Drug FreeHave you had or do you know someone who has had an MRI? Most of us have. However, you may be less familiar with something called an upright MRI. The inventor of the MRI, Dr. Raymond Damadian, actually made both of these machines.

What does an upright MRI do?

For one thing, it can detect whether cerebral spinal fluid is flowing properly throughout the head and neck. This fluid lubricates the brain and the spinal cord. When the top two vertebrae are in alignment, everything flows properly. But what if there is a misalignment?

Fluid Build Up

Imagine for a moment, a gently flowing stream. All of a sudden a boulder rolls downhill and lodges in the middle of that stream. Not only does this cause a problem with water flow, but it causes a buildup of water on one side of the boulder. This is similar to what happens in the cramped area of the neck. A tiny misalignment is like that boulder. It hinders the flow of cerebral spinal fluid that, in turn, leads to intracranial pressure. This causes a variety of health issues, including headaches and migraines.

So, how does a person remove that boulder, figuratively speaking? By seeking the care of someone who is trained in addressing misalignments in the upper neck. Dr. David Packer of Chesapeake, Virginia is an upper cervical chiropractor. He has training that allows him to detect and correct this blockage by realigning the spine with a gentle and effective procedure. Once this is done, the cerebral spinal fluid can return to normal flow, and your body will begin to heal. This will result in the reduction or elimination of your headaches. Why not contact Dr. Packer and set up an appointment to get this misalignment corrected. You will be glad you did!
